Federal judge reconsiders ruling making public bodycam footage of fatal Mobile SWAT raid

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A federal judge Thursday agreed to put on hold his ruling releasing officer-worn body camera footage showing a SWAT raid that resulted in a teenager’s death three years ago.

After objections by an attorney for Officer Osviel Vigoa-Martinez, U.S. District Judge Terry Moorer ruled that the videos will remain sealed until Sept. 21.

In an order dismissing some of the claims in a wrongful-death lawsuit, Moorer in July ruled that the bodycam footage he relied on for that decision would become public in 40 days if neither side appealed…
