Group forming to try and help save Neighborhood Lake

DENVER, Co. (KDVR) – A group of people is trying to save a drought-plagued lake in Southwest Denver.

The people who live in Athmar Park consider Huston Lake Park a jewel; however, the lake is now dry.

Athmar Park resident Sally Bishop told FOX31 that she remembers when it was full of water.

“There were birds, migratory birds, sometimes up to 25 pelicans, in the lake,” Bishop said…
