Toledo dad says learning center won’t refund tuition after class location change

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A Toledo father says he paid thousands of dollars in tuition for his son to attend a private learning center on Secor Road, but this week learned classes would instead be held in the basement of a home. He says he now wants a refund.

Lee Contreras said his son attends A Village Learning Center for tutoring and was supposed to start the alternative education program for second grade next week. The school year was supposed to start Sept. 8.

Contreras said he and his wife made two tuition payments of $685 and paid a $90 supply fee…
