DPD changes how it responds to street racing after recent takeovers

DENVER — Denver’s police chief said the department has changed the enforcement efforts surrounding how officers respond to street racing and takeover events.

The change comes after a string of incidents this year have drawn public frustration when officers arrived to find the scene already cleared.
