Stanley Marketplace Sold: Inside the new owners’ plan for the Aurora food hall

The sale of Aurora’s Stanley Marketplace, which we first caught wind of back in May, is now complete, nearly 10 years to the day of the facility’s grand opening.

Local developer Magnetic Capital — which also owns the F1 Arcade in RiNo, as well as some commercial real estate in Cherry Creek and various apartment complexes — acquired the facility from founders Flightline Ventures and Westfield Co. for $40.9 million this week. It is now bracing itself for the task ahead of managing both the property and expectations of its 50+ tenants.

While the sale is complete, questions surrounding the Stanley Marketplace’s future have just begun, with both visitors and tenants eager to see what the new company has in store for the 140,000-square-foot property. A third of the vendors in the facility are restaurants, including such notable eateries as Molino Chido, Annette and Traveling Mercies…
