Another hot day expected in Charlotte region before storms arrive: First Alert forecast here

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – We’re kicking off Labor Day weekend with one more very hot day – and then a round of potentially strong storms.

Saturday is a First Alert, so if your plans have you outside, you’ll want to keep an eye on the thermometer and the radar.

Hot first, stormy later

Saturday starts mainly dry, giving temperatures plenty of time to climb.

Heat index values will reach the 100s, with some spots around Charlotte and into South Carolina potentially feeling hotter than 105°. Then our attention turns to the afternoon and evening.

A strong cold front will drop into the Carolinas, helping showers and thunderstorms develop…
