HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — PennDOT has announced an inspection that will close one of the sidewalks on the Harvey Taylor Bridge next week.
The bridge, crossing the Susquehanna River and connecting Cumberland and Dauphin counties, will be inspected between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The sidewalk next to the eastbound travel lanes (downstream) will be closed during this time. The sidewalk next to the westbound travel lanes (upstream) will remain open, along with both roads, though traffic may see some delays.
Pedestrians looking to cross the bridge via the closed sidewalk will need to cross to the opposite sidewalk using either the designated pedestrian at-grade crossing on the Dauphin County side, or the pedestrian underpass on the Cumberland County side.
