Two Oxford men have been arrested after allegedly causing $5,000 in damage to a Sumter County water runoff area while driving off-road vehicles.
Ernest “Pete” Alvie Buchanan, 49, and Carmen Kenneth Galati, 43, are facing felony charges of criminal mischief following the incident, which occurred late on the night of Aug. 29.
According to arrest reports from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, County Administrator Bradley Arnold filed a complaint after discovering the damage near the intersection of County Road 475 and County Road 245 East in Oxford.
