(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A minor was arrested and taken to a juvenile detention facility after assaulting two officers at Memorial Park in Colorado Springs on Friday, Sep. 4, around 10:50 p.m., according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
CSPD said officers were enforcing park hours at Memorial Park, and when they approached a group, the young suspect took off. When officers caught the suspect, they were able to get the minor into handcuffs, despite a struggle.
According to CSPD, two officers escorted the minor to the police car, and the suspect assaulted the two officers in the process. One officer received medical attention but remained on duty. CSPD said that additional officers helped at the scene to contain the minor…
