Unresponsive man pulled from water off Mass. coast

An unresponsive man was pulled from the water Saturday after falling off a boat off the coast of Massachusetts.

At about 1:04 p.m., Nahant Fire and Police responded to a report of two boaters in distress off East Point, according to a police statement. Investigators learned that a boat had lost power, and another boat stopped to provide assistance. A wave then knocked two people into the water.

One of the people was able to get back onto a vessel. The other person was given a life preserver and began to swim back toward shore before becoming unresponsive…
