DTE plans to restore power to remaining customers by end of Sunday

DTE Energy said Sunday that it plans to restore power to all customers by the end of the day, as crews continued working after massive storms swept through Metro Detroit last week.

More than 98% of DTE’s 2.18 million Metro Detroit customers had full power as of Sunday afternoon, according to the utility. There were 31,817 customers without power. Consumers Energy had 2,996 customers without power, with 99.6% of their customers with power.

Pockets of outages remained throughouts southeast Michigan, including in the village of Milford, Shelby Township, Detroit and Ann Arbor, according to DTE’s outage map…
