Nearly 70 arrested and more than 500 cited in massive Los Angles street takeover event

Nearly 70 people were arrested, and more than 500 citations were issued as a result of a massive illegal street takeover in Los Angeles over the weekend.

Los Angeles Police Chief Jim McDonnell said authorities planned “Operation Street Sweeper” after using intelligence gathering and drones to map out the locations of four separate street takeovers in the Harbor Gateway neighborhood Saturday night, KABC reported.
