Shreveport police warn public of phone scam impersonating officers

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – The Shreveport Police Department is warning the public to be cautious of phone scams involving people claiming to be law enforcement officers.

The department said its officers will not call someone simply to tell them they have a warrant and then demand money, gift cards, banking information or other immediate action to avoid arrest.
