2 families displaced after townhome fire near Las Vegas airport

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Two families were displaced after a townhome fire near the Las Vegas airport Saturday night, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Around 9:30 p.m., CCFD responded to multiple reports of a two-story townhome fire in the 5100 block of Gray Lane near Tropicana Avenue and Maryland Parkway.

When crews arrived, the fire was upgraded to a second alarm due to visible flames coming from the exterior of the complex. Smoke and flames were seen consuming the garage and spreading to the rest of the home, according to CCFD.

CCFD initially took a defensive strategy and was able to confine the fire to the original home. The fire department downgraded the fire, and crews then switched to an offensive strategy and completed a search of the home…
