CCSD sued after 7-year-old allegedly placed on wrong bus, found nearly mile from stop

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A mother is suing the Clark County School District, alleging her 7-year-old son was left unaccounted for after school and later found wandering alone nearly a mile from his assigned bus stop.

Kris Robinson filed the lawsuit August 12 in Clark County District Court on behalf of herself and her son, Kameron. The complaint names CCSD, Darnell Elementary School, the Clark County School Board of Trustees and unnamed employees as defendants.

According to the lawsuit, Kameron’s older brother told a teacher on August 12, 2024, that Kameron was missing after school and that the brothers normally rode the bus home together. The complaint alleges the teacher said she did not know Kameron and directed the older brother to board the bus…
