Tampa, Fla., spine surgeon David Siambanes, DO, 59, and Dawn Stone, RN, 53, an advanced practice nurse, died the morning of Sept. 3 in a plane crash near Tampa Executive Airport.
Dr. Siambanes and Ms. Stone worked for BayCare at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital. Ms. Stone also worked for AdventHealth.
Dr. Siambanes was a pediatric orthopedic spine surgeon who focused on scoliosis and spinal deformities. He founded the Children’s Scoliosis Center and served as director of the scoliosis center at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital.
