Young adults gain career insights through mentorship experience at The Boca Raton

BOCA RATON, Fla (CBS12) — There are many ways individuals and businesses can support children in foster care, as well as young adults transitioning out of the system or overcoming homelessness while working to build their futures.

The Boca Raton has been doing just that through its support of the Forever Family series. Recently, CBS12 News’ Luli Ortiz visited the resort with 21-year-old Sammi and 26-year-old Valentina, both participants in Vita Nova, a Palm Beach County nonprofit that empowers young adults who have experienced homelessness or grown up in foster care.

The two young adults received a behind-the-scenes tour of the luxury resort, meeting with executives and learning about the wide range of career opportunities available within the hospitality industry…
