That simple idea is at the heart of The Porch Breakfast & Brunch in Georgetown. Opened on June 7, 2024, the restaurant grew from a longtime dream of Robert Linder, who wanted to create a place where people could put aside the rush of everyday life and enjoy the kind of food and fellowship associated with a country porch.
For Linder, the concept was never about making food unnecessarily complicated. His philosophy is summed up in a straightforward idea: “simple food, served hot, with a twist.” He also wanted the restaurant to encourage people to step away from their phones and spend time with the people around them.
