Former Philly principal must pay back nearly $32,000 never deposited from book fairs and graduation fees

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The former principal of a Philadelphia elementary school will have to pay back nearly $32,000 in missing student funds.

A report by the Philadelphia School District’s inspector general says the principal failed to deposit nearly $32,000 from book fairs and graduation fees during the 2023-24 and 2024-25 school years and is personally liable for the money.
