SARASOTA, Fla. — Senior Friendship Centers in Sarasota has started serving weekday breakfast as more seniors turn to food assistance to help cover meals amid rising food costs.
The center began offering a continental breakfast this month in addition to its existing lunch, produce boxes, and social activities. Seniors interested in the breakfast program must sign up, be Sarasota County residents, and be at least 60 years old.
