SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A newly renovated building in Sioux Falls is now home to some SDSU students heading into the medical field. For years, the university’s pharmacy and nursing programs have been at separate locations. At times, those spaces were shared with other businesses.
The SDSU Metro Center is ready for students, with areas that simulate hospital rooms, homes, and real-life scenarios.

“It just really amplifies the realism that we can give to our students, helps them engage in the experience like it’s realistic, which helps them build their habits,” Takara Schomberg, assistant professor of nursing for SDSU.
