LEXINGTON, Ky. — Crafters with Mystic Zebra Crafts are working to create a permanent space where people with disabilities and neurodivergent individuals can sell their work, learn skills and connect with others.
The group turns yarn and other materials into handmade items while helping crafters build their own businesses. Mystic Zebra Crafts hopes to open its first storefront next year.
“Most people have somebody in their life who is neurodivergent, disabled, connected to a rare disorder in some way, or all of those things, which I’m in every category,” said Jo Grayson, co-founder of Mystic Zebra Crafts. “And that’s our business model, is this is a place for people like ourselves and like Tiffany and Allora to, you know, start their own business and run their own business.”…
