Crews on Sept. 14 are scheduled to remove a dying 50-inch diameter oak tree at the former First United Methodist Church, 4329 Marietta Street in Powder Springs.
The scheduled removal comes after reports of the tree dropping dead limbs on the sidewalk. City staff and an arborist have inspected the tree and noted that the top of the tree appears to be dead.
