AUSTIN, Texas — A Georgetown mom said a United Airlines employee refused to gate check the foldable wagon she uses as a mobility aid for Jason, her 10-year-old son who has autism.
Lika Kakunze said the wagon is not about convenience. It gives her son a place to lie down when he gets tired and a safe space when crowded, loud environments become overwhelming.
“I use that wagon as a mobility aid for him because he can’t walk for long distances and also for a safe space so that he can regulate his sensory overload,” Kakunze said…
