CAROLINA BEACH, N.C. (WECT) – Fifteen apartments at The Proximity in Carolina Beach can now be rented out on a short-term basis following a Town Council vote, despite pushback from current residents.
The Proximity is located off Lake Park Boulevard and is home to hundreds of residents.
Several residents attended Tuesday’s meeting to speak out against the change, voicing concerns over ongoing issues with trash, maintenance, and safety.
