Pedestrian Dies Five Days After North FM 620 Crash in Northwest Austin as Police Identify 45-Year-Old John Michael Filley and Say Driver Stayed at Scene

AUSTIN, TX — A pedestrian died five days after being hit by a vehicle on North FM 620 Road in northwest Austin, according to police. Austin police said the man, identified as 45-year-old John Michael Filley, was struck early Saturday in the 13300 block of the roadway.

Officers responded shortly before 12:43 a.m. on Sept. 5 to the collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. Filley was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries on Sept. 10.
