LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Fayette County Public Schools has named the members of the screening committee to select its next superintendent.
The following were selected: Penny Christian, Adrielle Camuel, Matthew Vied, Julie Strange, Whitney Walker, and Sarah Bayerle.
Kentucky law requires the committee to include a school board member (Christian), a parent or guardian (Vied), a classified employee (Camuel), two teachers/certified employees (Bayerle & Walker), and one principal (Strange).
- Sarah Fightmaster Bayerle, teaches kindergarten at Maxwell Spanish Immersion Elementary,
- Whitney Walker, teaches social studies at Lafayette High School
- Adrielle Camuel, serves as an administrative assistant in the Department of Student Belonging & Success
- Matthew Vied, whose children attend Cassidy Elementary and Morton Middle School
- Julie Strange, Principal of Wellington Elementary
- Penny Christian, serves as District 3 member on the Fayette County Board of Education
