A local mother who has been without water since March is asking Marion County commissioners to forgive more than $2,250 in jail fees that she accumulated over 29 days in 2020 so that she may apply for a grant and fix her well.
Tracy M. Haskins’ request will be presented to the Marion County Board of County Commissioners during its regular meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
On September 1, Haskins appeared before the board and asked for a release or reduction of liens to help with a grant from the county. Haskins says she has been without water since March 13, after her well pump stopped working…
