Las Vegas doctor says she treated 9/11 hijacker weeks before attacks

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Twenty-five years after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, a Las Vegas doctor is reflecting on a memory she says has stayed with her ever since: treating one of the men who would later be identified as a 9/11 terrorist just weeks before the attacks.

Dr. Daliah Wachs says she was working at an urgent care in Las Vegas in August 2001 when she treated a male patient she remembers as having a notably flat, emotionless demeanor.

“We call it a blunted affect or a very flat affect where he would just answer questions with a straight face, his head cocked,” Wachs recalled. “I mean, no emotion.”…
