Fraternity shut down, lawsuit pending in death of University of Michigan student

ANN ARBOR, MI – The family of a student who died in January still plans to sue the fraternity which hosted the party where he had been drinking, according to their attorney.

Robert Raitt, an Ann Arbor-based attorney, confirmed to MLive/The Ann Arbor News that the family of Lucas Mattson still plans to file a lawsuit against “anyone that was responsible for what happened that night.”

He expects the lawsuit, first floated in February, to come by the end of the year…
