An early morning collision along Interstate 70 on Saturday, Sept. 12 near Emma claimed the life of a Kansas City area man.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the 42-year-old from Liberty had just been involved in another crash at mile marker 62 and exited his vehicle onto the eastbound lanes. Troopers say that at around 2:40 a.m., the man was struck by a semi-truck driven by a man from Maryland. The Liberty man was pronounced dead at the scene.
