MCSO identifies suspect in fatal Gethsemane Cemetery shooting

PRICHARD, Ala. (WALA) – Authorities are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting at a local cemetery earlier this month, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday.

Deputies responding to a report of a deceased male Sept. 3 at Gethsemane Cemetery, at 2850 S. Shelton Beach Road, found 22-year-old Vanol Lucky lying between two gravesites. Lucky, who also went by “Babsco” or “VL,” died from a gunshot wound, the MCSO said.

Investigators have identified Deanta Kiesun Dubose as a suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest on a murder charge, the MCSO said.

Dubose is described as a Black male, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with tattoos on his neck and arms…
