DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A man has been indicted for crimes in multiple jurisdictions, including a murder in Miami Township.
Tywon Stephens, 27, of Dayton, was indicted by a grand jury on Sept. 14 on the following charges:
- Two counts of Murder
- Four counts of Felonious Assault
- One count of Use of Firearm or Dangerous Ordinance by Violent Career Criminal
- One count of Aggravated Robbery
- One count of Kidnapping
- Two counts of Grand Theft – motor vehicle
- Three counts of Robbery
- Five counts of Failure to Comply with the Order or Signal of a police officer
- One count of Assault on a police officer
- Four counts of Having Weapons while Under Disability – prior offense of violence
- One count of Assault
- One count of Vandalism
Stephens is accused of fatally shooting his girlfriend, Tiffany N. Collins, 36, on Sept. 3 in Miami Township.
He allegedly took her Chrysler 300 and struck a Toyota on I-75 near Dryden Road. Then, he is accused of getting out of the Chrysler, entering a semi-truck, and forcing the driver to get in the passenger seat to take off, but he reportedly couldn’t operate it…
