Justin Senia is accused of shooting Mobile Police Officer Lorenzo Matthews in January during a standoff on Tuscaloosa Street.
According to a court filing, Senia’s attorney says his client is pleading guilty by reason of mental defect. The motion says Senia suffers from bipolar disorder, he didn’t have his meds due to a lack of coverage and he has been experiencing the effects of toxic mold syndrome.
