LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Clark County School District needs to trim $51.6 million from its budget and there’s a potential that staff members may be impacted.
According to a media release on the district’s website, CCSD plans to cut $22.5 million from its central office. The district’s schools will absorb the remaining $29.1 million in cuts. CCSD has an estimated $3.9 billion budget.

One of the reasons CCSD has cited for the budget hole is the decline in student enrollment. It is the nation’s fifth largest school district, but that status is under threat.
