A University of New Mexico cheerleader remains hospitalized after surviving a devastating car crash that killed her cousin.
On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the Albuquerque police investigated a fatal crash that occurred on the westbound Interstate 40 frontage road approaching southbound Interstate 25 around 9:08 a.m., according to local outlets KOAT, KOB 4 and KRQE.
At the intersection, authorities said a semi-truck with a trailer ran a red light and struck the passenger side of a black Audi traveling north, per KOAT. The passenger was killed instantly, while the driver of the car was transported to the hospital in critical condition…
