“We don’t want him to be remembered as the pedestrian that got killed,” says family
It hadn’t even been three weeks since Timmy Martin passed away in an August 23rd accident in west Pickens County, but his wife and three of his daughters mustered up the strength for an interview. They want people to remember Timmy like they do – as a devoted and beloved husband, father and friend, with a personality that made him unforgettable to anyone he met.
“We don’t want him to be remembered as the pedestrian that got killed,” said Veronica Martin, who had been with Timmy for 20 years and was married to him for 11 of those. “He took care of me, and he loved me like no one else. And I know it’s crazy after all this time, but when he would walk through the front door, or I could hear his truck, I would still get butterflies. He was my person. He was my voice of reason and my calm, because I’m the tornado.”…
