LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Reduced conflict intersections are set to soon on Richmond Road and Athens-Boonesboro Road, with the next phase of construction beginning Friday, Sept. 18.
According to the Kentucky Department of Transportation, the next phase of construction will require a detour of Old Richmond Road, the opening of Aphids Way and activation of the new signalized reduced conflict U-turn movements at the Ellerslie Park Boulevard and Hays Boulevard intersections.
Old Richmond Road will be temporarily closed at 8 p.m. on Friday, remaining closed until noon on Sept. 20, the KYTC says. The closure is to complete a roadway connection between Old Richmond Road and Aphids Way.
