Florida woman allegedly set stranger on fire at a gas station because she wouldn’t give her any money

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (TCN) — A 41-year-old woman was arrested and charged with arson and attempted murder in connection with an alleged altercation at a gas station.

According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, a woman was pumping gas on the evening of Sept. 10 when Eleanor Crawford allegedly approached her and ignited gasoline with a lighter. The car immediately went up in flames, and the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of second-degree burns.

Before the alleged incident, Crawford allegedly asked the victim to use her phone, WTVT reports. The victim allowed her to use it, and then Crawford allegedly asked her for money. The victim reportedly told her no, and Crawford allegedly ignited the gas pump with a lighter…
