4 men died violently on Lansing River Trail in 11 months. Families want answers

LANSING — People who are homeless have died violently along the Lansing River Trail in north Lansing in the last 11 months, and at least some of their families are concerned the problem isn’t getting the attention it deserves.

Since last October, at least four people who were homeless have died from apparent violence, three of them from head trauma. Police have done little to publicize the incidents.

On Thursday, Sept. 17, Lansing police said they couldn’t provide specific answers to some questions about the deaths because they remain under investigation…
