DAVENPORT, Fla. — A 14-year-old boy died Thursday night after being struck by an SUV while riding an electric scooter across U.S. 27 in Davenport, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of U.S. 27 and McFee Drive in the Four Corners area around 7:55 p.m. on Sept. 17, 2026.
First responders found the teen with severe injuries and rushed him by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
