Valley Street in Ball Ground remains closed after two sinkholes developed in a nearby creek bed over the weekend.
According to the city of Ball Ground, on Saturday Brett Michaud was walking along Valley Street when he heard an unusual sound coming from Ball Ground Creek, and quickly alerted emergency personnel.
Responding crews found that the creek’s entire flow was disappearing into a sinkhole, estimated to be about 60-70 feet deep. Another sinkhole was about 15-20 feet away, City Manager Palmer Rogers told the Tribune…
