PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A “transient” man was charged after vandalizing a Milwaukie residence, police announced.
The Milwaukie Police Department revealed that Jason M. Treichler has been lodged at the Clackamas County Jail for first-degree criminal mischief. Officials said the arrest comes after residents in the 8800 block of Southeast Rockvorst Street contacted emergency responders to report that a man had been banging on doors and yelling, while “holding a tool or weapon” around midnight on Friday.

The Ardenwald neighborhood residents told authorities they did not know the suspect, according to Milwaukie police. They reported that they retreated further into the house as Treichler proceeded to throw rocks at it and break windows.
By the time officers arrived, they learned the man had “fled toward a greenspace” near the residence, MPD said.
