Coffeebar is preparing to open a new location at 170 State St. in Los Altos, continuing the coffee company’s expansion across the Peninsula. The company’s website lists the Los Altos Bakery location as coming in September 2026, while a September report from The Almanac places the opening in early October.
Coffeebar was founded in Truckee in 2010 by Greg Buchheister, a former competitive skier who developed the concept around Italian-inspired coffee culture. The company has since expanded into the Bay Area, with locations in Menlo Park, Redwood City and Sunnyvale.
