DEL CITY, Okla. (KFOR) — Construction on a new elementary school hits a costly snag. Police say it’s all due to alleged thieves.
“The school is working to expand. During that, there’s obviously a lot of construction materials and copper lying around. Which makes it a target for the thieves,” said Lieutenant Blake Reichert with the Del City Police Department.
In all, five have been arrested, and officers are still searching for two others.

“We eventually narrowed it down to two different groups for a total of four different occasions,” said Lt. Reichert.
Those groups were not connected to each other…
