After more than two months without rain, Sunday night’s storms were a welcome sight across North Texas. But for some families in Celina and Prosper, the long-awaited rain quickly turned devastating.
The rain began just before 9 p.m. Sunday, soaking dry grass and drawing neighbors outside to enjoy the rare sight as North Texas inched closer to 70 days without measurable rain.
