ANN ARBOR, MI – A 34-year-old man could serve a little more than 15 years in prison for fatally shooting another man during a confrontation in a parking lot.
Marvin Sullivan was sentenced Sept. 21 to four to 15 years in prison for manslaughter in the 2021 death of Deryl Banks, according to court records. Sullivan was one of two men that approached the car of 35-year-old Banks after Banks and another car almost collided, according to testimony given during Sullivan’s preliminary examination late last year.
Sullivan, sentenced by Washtenaw County Trial Court Judge Jinan Hamood, was also given two years in prison for using a firearm during a felony. He was given credit for 431 days…
