After four decades as one of Baltimore’s best-known independent music venues, The 8×10 is getting a new look—and a new ownership group. Following a summer renovation, the 300-capacity Federal Hill club will reopen October 9th with performances by Tom Hamilton Band (from Joe Russo’s Almost Dead) and Illiterate Light.
October also promises shows from Oh He Dead, Steely Dead (a Grateful Dead/Steely Dan tribute), Open Mike Eagle with Kenny Segal, Rhett Miller of Old 97’s, Everyone Orchestra, Dogs In A Pile, Palmyra, Skeleton Crewe, Kendall Street Company, and all-women Radiohead tribute Labiahead. November will bring Wolf & Bear, Millington, Jackie Greene, Start Making Sense, Dan Deacon, Yacht Lobsters, Mark Farina, Fantastic Cat, The Luvable Idiots, Moody Moose and Splintered Sunlight. December’s schedule includes Tommy Conwell & the Young Rumblers, Rebirth Brass Band, Bartees Strange and Quinn Sullivan.
Several multi-night runs will give fans an opportunity to experience the renovated room more than once, including two nights of Everyone Orchestra, three nights from Dogs In A Pile and two nights of Dan Deacon. The 8×10’s reopening calendar extends into 2027, with Pink Talking Fish, Sicard Hollow and Electric Six already announced…
