DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Three local police departments are welcoming new officers to the force!
Recently, Vandalia city leaders swore in their newest officer, Carter Ward, at this week’s council meeting. Officer Ward attended school locally and began his career with Greenville Police in 2024.
Additionally, Celina Police are welcoming patrolman Zac Nelson and his K-9 partner, Digo. They recently completed the Basic Police K-9 Handler Course at Von der Haus Gill K-9 Academy, where Digo was trained in patrol work and narcotics.
Lastly, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office is welcoming their newest K-9, Ace, who will work alongside his handler, Deputy Haiden Stidam. Ace is a dual-purpose K-9 trained in narcotics detection, search operations, and protection…
