Long Beach has recorded six traffic-related deaths in September, involving pedestrians, a bicyclist and a motorcyclist.
On Sept. 4, a 68-year-old Long Beach bicyclist died following a collision with a semi-truck near Pacific Coast Highway and Canal Avenue. Speed is being investigated as a possible factor.
On Sept. 5, an adult pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run on Long Beach Boulevard near 23rd Street. The pedestrian was later struck by a Metro train.
On Sept. 10, a motorcyclist died after colliding with an Acura SUV at Atlantic Avenue and Villa Park. Police said the motorcycle ran a red light, and speed is being investigated…
